There are basically (ignoring the fact that it's never quite this simple) two types of people. Night owls and wierdos early birds.
Night owls, like us, work better later in the day.
Early birds are those annoying bastards that are up and awake the moment their eyes are open, out mowing the lawn at 7:00am.
Now, as a general rule, night owls are also procrastinators, and produce better work that way. And, early birds are the ones that have everything done a week in advance.
I remember when I didn't procrastinate
I started working on a research paper (as in writing the actual thing) a week before the due date of Monday. I was done Friday night (save for the conclusion which I did Saturday morning).
My friend wrote it all on Sunday.
He got an A, I got a B.
Yeah, some good that did me.

I am, in fact, on this forum to procrastinate from my studies for finals on Tuesday.
I am sure that many of the people you find on these forums are procrastinators like yourself, and are actually probably on here so often due to that fact.
And I definitely work better, or at least more consistently, with the "pressure on."
Don't feel bad, there are lots of people like us.
