The playlist is just that, a list.

You need to have the songs in the same location for it to work.

No, "My Music" is not the same location, as on their computer its C:\Documents and Settings\your name\Documents\My Music

Or something French.

Copy all the songs you want onto your USB drive, make the playlist from that, then you'll be able to plug'n'play it anywhere.

Once you copy the songs over, open up your .pls in Notepad, Edit > Find and Replace
Find: C:\Documents and Settings\your name\Documents\My Music (The text that's listed before each MP3 file for location)
Replace with: D:\ (Location of the music on your drive)

Bleh, then ignore that,

Easiest way to accomplish what you want is to open the working playlist in WMP on your computer, and open your USB drive in a My Computer window, then CTRL-A(In WMP) to select everything, and use your mouse to DRAG all the music into the USB drive folder(Hover over it in the taskbar and it'll pup up) wait for it to copy everything, then go to your friends house, open your drive, CTRL-A > Right-click > Add to WMP Now Playing
