Useless. lol. Let's see: 1) EVGA is fucktons faster than Newegg on their RMA service 2) EVGA's support site is just generally easier to use and is directCustomer service is useless. If the card is broken, take it back to the shop. If it works you won't need customer service. Drivers are provided by nvidia/ati. Why do I need customer service?
That's exactly it. EVGA, a while ago, was giving away Crysis with a certain card they were selling...and said card was still cheaper than the rest of the competition. I wouldn't buy a card with a game if I didn't think I was getting it for either 1) a very discounted price or 2) free. It's not free. You're paying for it with the higher price of the card
Yeah, if you're lucky and some poor sap decides to overpay you. With EVGA it's a guarantee.in the end you're still overpaying. For what you saved by not going evga you can easily recover the loss of value. If you're lucky you can even score a higher price than you got it on ebay
It's the difference of the two cards ffs. EVGA is almost always the cheapest brand.
What don't you seem to get about that?

Thats interesting, every encounter I have had with Dell CS has been fantastic.Poseidon wrote:
Uh, no. 100%, completely wrong. The quality of customer service varies greatly between card manufacturers from what I've heard, seen and experienced. To claim they're all the same is ridiculous. That's like saying Dell's customer service is the same as Apple's just because they both make computers. Ask anyone who's had a venture with Dell's customer service - I think they'll tell you their CS isn't exactly the world's greatest.
RMAing though my shop takes a max of 24h. Long newegg RMA times don't make evga good but newegg just shitPoseidon wrote:

If the card is the cheapest by all means go for it.That's exactly it. With the step-up you're locked into that one manufacturer and into nvidia. If ati releases a new card or the price or evga has a shit price on the new card you're fuckedYeah, if you're lucky and some poor sap decides to overpay you. once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

I got Gigabyte (8800GT)-was the cheapest. Almost all cards have one year warranty except some really pricey ones. I used to have 9800pro from Powercolor but there was something wrong with it so I took it back but they weren't in stock anymore so I paid extra money and actually upgraded to x800pro. European step-up ftw.

Looks good? Will get it in February so price will drop though. (Maybe even newer shit, but I don't want to go overboard.)

Looks just fine. From what I've heard, HIS is a good brand.alexbay13 wrote:

"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
Congratulations...you =/= me. It takes a lot longer for a large store like Newegg to get an RMA back than it does EVGA.max wrote:

Yes, and if there's a card from ATi that comes out that's better and someone wants to upgrade, they can sell on eBay, as they really have no choice. You're saying they should sell on eBay even if a better [b]nVidia card[b] comes out which is ridiculous if you can just pay the difference (which is most likely minimal).max wrote:

Pos, why don't you just stick with your own opinions and thoughts because we know you always have to argue with other peoples'. Just get whatever you want, ya damn Jew!

And I will get whatever I want... whatever's best at the time.
OCUK dropped their prices by about 5 pounds. Cunts.
If evga = cheap: buy it
If evga = way more expensive: don't buy it. The better customer support and the possibility of a step-up really aren't worth it

Well, that's only logical. If EVGA is 50 bucks more than say, BFG or PNY...I'd go for one of them. If EVGA is only 5-10 bucks more than BFG or PNY, I'm most likely going to go with EVGA due to my dealings with them in the past.max wrote:

and you argued to just to now agree with what I said in the original post?

Errr, it's not.max wrote:

You said that all card manufacturers are the same.
I still vehemently disagree.
You should learn to read a little more carefully. The cards themselves are identical. I never said that the manufacturers are the same

That's what the whole discussion is about...
If you want to argue about manufacturers that's fine too, but you should let me know first. I was simply defending my original statement.
