So my friend bought a WD Passport 320GB external USB hdd. I works perfectly on my pc, it is detected very quickly and shows up in disk management as NTFS and healthy. But when we plug it into his pc, it is shown as a RAW formatted drive, we can not access or view the files on it, and any attempts to format it fail.

I have no idea what is wrong, maybe somebody can at least point me in the right direction.
