T220 or T240 ? / Need new GPU ?

So, Christmas is coming up, time for a little upgrade.

I`m stuck between these two. Mostly need my screen for gaming and movies.

Another fact to consider and might have influence is my GPU. Right now I´m running a 8800 GTS /320 MB (the older model)

If I get the 24'' will the GPU be to weak for putting out a native resolution in games ?

And, NO, the Acer G24 is out my price range. Thanks though.

Without knowing your current monitor, I'd say upgrade your GFX card. The GTS 320mb is pretty shit.

Right now I have Samsung 19'' and I can run everything on pretty decent settings.
Crysis had a decent framerate on a medium/high.

Mine. I would get the 24". When I got mine, it looked huge at first but not it looks perfect. Sure its going to be hard to play games with native resolution with your current card but you could always upgrade your gfx card later. You buy monitor for at least 5 years while graphics card is being updated every two years or even every year.

The 8800GTS 320MB will have problems with new games. If you should get a new GPU or monitor depends on what games you play. If you stay mainly with BF2 your GPU will be fine. If you want to play new games a GPU upgrade would be better.

Guess I´ll go for the 22'' then and maybe pair it up with a 4870.

I have a 24" monitor and an 8800 GTS 320. I run BF2 on low and stay above 100 FPS. The only other games I have played on this setup are Source games, and they also run fine. If you want to play Crysis at a reasonable framerate, you're going to need a new GPU.
