So, it's out now...but can anyone get on? I've had no luck whatsoever.
You'd think they'd realise how high the demand for "downloads/logging in/whatever else is needed" would be and allocate enough resources accordingly.
I read on Kotaku that nobody can use it. Oh well launches of software are often like this. Remember HL2? I remember HL2's launch .

I was able to get on earlier this afternoon.

I haven't even bothered with it yet. I knew it would be popular, but...

I knew there would be a problem when they said, we have enough capacity to take everyone who owns a ps3 at the one time (or words to that effect). I have read some people have managed to get on during ''off peak'' hours, but I cant for the life of me work out what time that is. Considering one time zones off peak is anothers busy time :\

PS3 won't update, can't do anything

Finally got on.
It's actually really, really fun. Especially pool and bowling. It's like GTA IV without the annoying voice of Roman!

So, I've tried it out a bit, and...
Pros:
- Has a LOT of potential. It can be implemented VASTLY with games and such. There are a lot of things Sony can do with this, they just have to play their cards right and be smart about it.
- Seeing movies and stuff and being able to just walk by seeing them is pretty cool. I love the Theater...too bad they were showing the Twilight trailer when I went.
- Bowling and Pool are really, really fun. I'm hoping for some other new mini-games in the future. Maybe ping-pong, darts, basketball...anything.
- The Far Cry 2/Uncharted rooms are pretty fucking awesome.
Cons
- The camera work needs fixing. Badly.
- There needs to be more things to do...I mean, bowling, pool and the Echochrome demo are cool, but there's just not enough stuff.
- Paying $.50 for an article of clothing or a piece of furniture? Really, Sony? When the economy is the way it is, nobody's going to buy semantic shit like that. Reduce the price or use another form of payments (trophies can give money, perhaps?).
- Home is slooooooow. Downloads can take a while, especially for movies. Hopefully after yesterday's ruckus, Sony will improve/add servers, because this is ridiculous.
