Alright boys, the time has come for me to buy a new laptop because I'm getting tired of this one.

I was thinking about buying the new macbook pro because it looks sexeh but there's no doubt it's quite pricey.....

Your thoughts are appreciated! Bad idea? Better suggestions?

HP, Lenovo.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Nah I'm not really that big into gaming anymore although I have heard of this program called crossover that I can buy? May just be rumours.

Right now I'm looking at an absolute maximum $1800.

Poor teddy, doesn't even have a 15".
2 Gb is more than enough. 1gb is also enough if you won't play games on it, everything will run smoothly.

This is what you get for 1800€

If you don't want to game just get a 1000€ Lenovo (SL, R or T series - awesome keyboards) or HP laptop. No need to shell out nearly the double just for OSX
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
