I got an ad email from Nvidia this morning and browsed around their site for a bit and came accross this

What motherboard would you need to have to be able to use it?

$3,499 for just the graphics card alone !!!

You would have to do more for santa
than just leave cookies out for him to leave you this under your tree.

yeah i read through most of the ad

its for autocad and oil/gas exploration

but it would work for gaming wouldnt it?

you could run GTA 4 on nearly highest settings

It's got less shaders than a GX2.

A GX2 is faster.

Quadro and similars are nothing but marketing ploy these days.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
