I would appreciate it if someone would touch up my avatar a bit. I think in the compression the blacks lost a lot of the black, maybe widen it so it takes up the entire 120x60 space, that kind of thing.

If you want to do something fucked up with it I'm open to that too, no guarantee I'll use it but if it makes me laugh I probably will at least for a bit.

I can provide the source on request. It is pretty big, it's a scan from a book.

So yeah, there are a lot of great graphic design people here and I know I'm not one of them. I appreciate your time if you decide to give it a shot.

Second one is too stretched. I was thinking maybe just add black on either side to get it to the full width? Primarily just getting it centered I think would make it look a lot better though.

Okay the upload problem is for some reason the avatar uploader is one behind, when I uploaded this one I got the previous one, then when I uploaded something else I got this one lol.

Anyways I like this one a lot too, I like how you cropped both of them I don't know if he did something or what but ebug's is sharper, so I think I like that one marginally better.

Shit would be epic if Watterson ever drew in Hobbes to that P.I. theme he did with Calvin a few times. I think that might be my favorite persona he ever drew. So badass.

Quick way to clear it..
Upload it then look at it in one of your post. Right click on it and click view image, then refresh the page.

Used Foxit Reader to open the PDF and it's got a built screenshot tool. You click and drag around the area you want to copy and it puts in on the clipboard.

Pasted in a new Photoshop document, cropped the original to 180x60, increased the contrast, added a stroke (border), and saved as .gif

Cache issue which happens to me as well. Your avatar is actually the new one and it appears this way to everyone else except you - you see the old one. Clear your cache and it'll fix itself!
