I'm putting this in Graphics 'cos it's kinda related.

Ok...

I was talking to my Dad the other day and he mentioned that he'd been thinking about using some photographs he's taken, in some way, to make money, whilst he's between jobs.

Now, back in the day, when I messed about with Fractint and POVRay, I recall there being website(s) where you could upload you pics to them and they'd advertise them for sale in form of posters, etc...

But I'll be darned if I can remember what any of them were called. And I must fail at google. 'Cos I've tried.

Anyone know of any such website(s)?

Preferably UK based. Though that doesn't matter too much. In fact, more countries the better in some ways.

Not sure exactly what you mean, but you can sell poster prints of photographs/illustrations/pictures on DeviantArt

Thanks for the DeviantArt suggestion - I didn't actually know they offered that service - has been a long time since I've even looked at DA.

And, yes, that kind of thing is exactly what I'm looking for.

I don't think my Dad is bothered too much about what % he gets (obviously, the more the better, but he's probably not looking to make this his primary source of income).

More suggestions welcome.

DevArt does take a big cut, but it also has one of the biggest user bases to go with it, you may only get 10% but more people will see it. Plus I don't think there is anything to stop you selling them elsewhere as well so there's nothing lost.

Have you thought about contacting poster printing companies? You could ask them to sell it online, there'd be no outlay for them and all you need to do is supply a righ res image for them to print when needed. http://www.allposters.co.uk/ <-- those guys are based not far from where I lived when i was little, they're fucking huge, can't hurt to talk to someone about it.

EDIT: Slightly off from the poster idea but, Café Press will put pretty much any image on all sorts of things, again they take a cut, not sure how much as I've only used them to make stuff for myself and family.
