Need a new case, need high quality, yet affordable (cheap :P)

Alright I'm expecting a new graphics card (9800GT OC) from my current x1950PRO lol << ew

and my case can barely fit my new PSU in (the wires almost back up into the DVD drive/CD drives) it can fit the x1950pro perfect, and it can probably fit the 9800GT in, but this case i'm using is SO old, and it's an mATX case for one, so I can't use any ATX motherboards and it can't fit any 120mms for cooling (one 80mm is all it has).

I am looking for a case (newegg only please, I buy all my stuff from there $$), it has to be sturdy, i'm talking durable and long lasting, it can't be some bad color like beige or brown (no pink either, or purple), and it needs to be around $50 USD~ $75 is borderline too much (getting so many other things, I have a limit on spending D: )
it doesn't have to be omg LEDs or awsm see-through sidepanel but I really don't want toolless(but I will consider it), and it has to have enough space for the newer graphics cards that are 5 feet long

Don't need a PSU in it, just bought an awesome new one (Corsair 650TX ) but if its a solid case and the PSU really doesn't come at extra cost I will consider it
**I would do this myself, but considering I have never bought a case, and there are SO many case manufacturers on newegg, it's tough to figure out which to buy

oh and if it already has fans, thats a plus, my case idles around 36C with my current setup so it's not really a problem but it's nice to have fans.

*I also only have 1 HDD, 2 component drives and 1 graphics card, so you don't need to find any 15 HDD slot case

I think you may have to either sacrifice that feature, or up your budget.

You need something like a Thermaltake Armour+ to guarantee being able to fit any of the largest of the current generation GPU cards.

well by component drives I mean DVD and CD-R

sorry for wording it wrong, and I was a little exaggerating the 5feet, I just need one that can fit a 9800GT (measures 9++ inches IIRC) and still have some space for excess wires and such, I'm not aiming to put two 4870X2s in it and such :p

Not 100% on this size wise, but I believe it's about the same size as a P182, which, I believe, from what you've said, will be big enough for your needs:

might get that antec 300, looks nice, no offense against cooler master, but they suck ass at PSUs had bought one 11 monthes ago (but it failed around 3~ monthes ago) and the fan died and it fried (fried my graphics card too, having to replace both, my x1950pro artifacts at normal temperatures, and I wasn't sure if my 500W coolermaster with a now modded-in 120mm fan was sending out bad volts due to the failure)

but thanks so far for the suggestions, I'll do some more research into all these cases

The words "high quality" in the thread title is why I went straight for Antec.

Having said that, I've not seen a 300 in the flesh, but all the Antec cases I have seen in the flesh have had a build quality that I consider to be 2nd to none.

I bought this case for the main office PC from a local store (at a lower price, remarkably) for an Athlon X2-6000/9800GT1GB (dual 22" widescreen LCD's), and it's been a dream to work with. You might have to slightly re-bend some parts of the aluminum 3.5" rack for the packaged anti-vibration pads to slide in properly, but other than that, installation's a breeze. The motherboard tray is removable, has wire routing clamps behind it, and you don't even have to screw drives in (I did for extra security, but hey).

If you're worried about the weight of your video card on the motherboard, consider a case that has supports for them.

i definitely know the 300 fits a 4850 because i just installed one two weeks ago. i don't know about longer cards.

edit: alright i just looked at the specs. the 300 is only .1" shorter than my 900, which fits a 4870. it'll fit the 9800GT.

There PSU's might suck but their cases are far from it. I own 2, a stacker stc-01 and a 690 and they are very good quality and the 690 is hard to beat for the $$.

Modecom tend to have pretty nice cases. Just don't use the PSU you get with it.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
