9800GT's are about $150 locally. When I put together a computer, I might just use one of those (or a 4850) while NV milks the high-end market on a rapid succession of iterations.

well you can't compare nvidia and ATI SPs, but double the SPs from a RV770 sounds awesome

I was looking at that, does seem to be a stop gap product. I believe it was supposed to be released atleast two months ago though. It's simply been delayed to the point it will only have a three month run :\. I suppose though the guys buying this wont care though .

I would of bought a GTX 260 core 216 for sexmas but will see how the 285 stacks up. If I get anything prior to march it will probably be that.

Last graphics card probably, since by april we will all be living on the streets!

well you can't compare nvidia and ATI SPs, but double the SPs from a RV770 sounds awesome
