I just got a new phone - Samsung Propel. It's the first phone I've ever had that actually has a slot for a micro sd card so I'm a complete noob with this stuff. I want to be able to put my own ringtones on the phone instead of paying $2.50 for 10 seconds of a song. Is this even possible and if so, how? Service is AT&T.
Audacity + Your mp3s.
Also, Da Funk.

Easy. Just get a cable that connects your phone to your computer (dont buy one from AT&T though, they overcharge like shit)
Look on Samsung's website for the computer program to sync your phone with. If I recall its Samsung PC Studio 3.0 or something like that. Install that, go through the steps, connect your phone, then drag and drop songs onto your phone
To edit songs to get the best clip for the ringtone just look online for an mp3 editor. I know a lot of people use a program called Audacity (you need the "LAME" encoding with it). Once you get it it's pretty self explanatory.

Cool I will get that cable and be on my way then
If you have a card reader, you could also buy a MicroSD with his big daddy converter (or a card reader that a MicroSD fits into).

bad-man, phonezoo checks for copyrighted material. my music is obviously not legally purchased. so i'm kinda afraid to use it to upload songs to my phone because it says "WARNING! This is a copyrighted work." that just screams "you better not be stealing it or we will turn you in" to me.
EDIT: I just said "fuck it" and used phonezoo, it works great. now i don't really need a cable or sd card. it lets you put 30 seconds from any song on your hard drive onto your phone. highly recommended. please stay away RIAA.

RIAA chasing you for using some ringtone site?
That's just to cover their own arses. Just use mp3s in it.SpIk3y wrote:
