So about a month ago my xbox got the red ring of deat, I was ok with it because my xbox is old, and thought it would be fixed. Recieved it 2 weeks ago, worked good for 4 days, and BOOM rrod again, screw you microsoft. Havent been able to play gears of war in month and a half because my shitty xbox

Sorry to hear about your problems. You're not alone, although I haven't had any problems whatsoever with my '06 model, as those who lurk Other Titles know. Unfortunately, it's the old chipset...the new Jasper chipsets eliminate the RRoD.
Good thing is when you send it back, you'll be compensated for the time lost with a free month of XBL (I'm sure you got the card). So it's not a complete loss.

You don't pay a penny when you send in your xbox. Sure you will lose 2 weeks of gaming but that's just extra outside time.

I really like Microsoft's software ideals when it comes to consoles. But, if you can't make a machine last longer than 6 months before being replaced software means jack shit. This is coming from a guy who has had 6 Xbox 360 with hardware issues and 1 stolen.
