Router lags...

k, so i installed router NETGEAR DGN2000 (draft n) and my usb dongle D-link DWA140 (draft n) and now i have srs problem.
In bf2, the game lags every 6-8 seconds, and my ping jumps up to 300 for a moment, even when the usb card is just few centimeters from the router... whats wrong? how to fix it?

Why would you be using wireless when your computer is a few cm from the router?

i'm guessing it's a laptop and he can move it that close, but doesn't necessarily want to be that close.

Try it wired-in.

If it still does it, then it's not the wireless.

I solved it, i installed vista-anti-lag application, and there are no lags anymore, the speed is as good as on wire... weird...
