I need some help with my British politics. I know the House of Lords act as legislators but do the 9 law lords?- Obv the Brits should be able to answer this question.

If I'm correct in my understanding of how it works, the Law Lords are involved at an 'advisory' level.

I think they do yes but they actually have to sit out on certain cases if the principle of 'separation of powers' crops up- that is, the legislative, executive and judiciary should remain exclusive and separate. It's one of the iffy areas in British law because, as you know, when a judge reaches the highest seat in the House of Lords s/he is then a part of the judiciary and legislative at once.
