I decided to do a major graphics upgrade now and maybe sell it when better stuff comes out/I get more money.

I highly doubt I need a secondary pc. Atm these components are just sitting in a box. Money is not an issue AFTER March 11th but it is now.

If I sold it I could certainly afford the XFX GTX 260/216 BLACK EDITON, which is a nice card that would do nicely for a while. Maybe even go SLi in March...

Its either a 8800GTX for 100€, HD 4850 for 140€ or sell the secondary pc and get awsome GTX 260+...

So.. should I sell it or just hoot that 8800GTX?

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Looks like I buy a ZOTAC 8800GTX then. Should do nicely for 3 months. After that I just stick something really beefy in there.

that's what max said... IF I somehow get the secondary rig sold for good price, and get a GTX 260+, I promised to try it.

that's because max guessed right the magic words... XFX GTX 260+ BLACK EDITION comes with a paper with text "Welcome to the dark side" and max said "join the dark side" :DDDDD

they DOWNGRADE just before the launch of new GPU. That is exactly what is going on right now. Overclockers mass dumbing HD 4870s and GTX 260s for the likes of 8800GTX...
