I'll start by saying when I read an article about this earlier today I got excited. But, now after downloading it... nothing is there. You can't do anything at all. Not text/voice messaging via live. You just sign in... browse market place. Very little content. But, overall I think its a start to getting a client on windows that I can stay logged into all the time and manager messages and stuff. Took a screenshot for you guys. I posted the link to the download if any of you are interested in seeing it in real time.

I don't see how they are coping steam. Live was around before Steam.

Edit: I'm going to say this client feels like a work in progress type of deal.

Xbox Live was 2002, but GFW-Live was 07. So it depends on what "live" your talking about, depending on such hes either right or wrong.

Xbox live for the original Xbox was nothing like steam. It was like what PC has had since doom.

This.

Live may have existed before steam, but it didn't get any steam-like features until after steam.
