Hmm.,, you won't be doing "alot of gaming" for very long at that kind of budget, but I suppose it doesn't get much better when you don't have more money...

I would say go down a tad in the CPU and up a notch with the GFX

but meh... Doesn't look very futureproof tbh

But then again, easy for me to say that when I'm lining up for a $1500 january build to last me 2-3years and replace my E6600, 7900GTO build..

And for me atleast, the HDD capacity is far too small I have 1TB of spare room in my current Samsung Spinpoint 1TB & Western Digital 250Gb setup..

I will be selling my 250Gb drive along with my current build for $550 at febuary...

and when I say "you" I ofcourse mean "him"

Yeah but look at his other specs and budget,, he will need anything as scraped as possible, and for this build I think 4Gb is overkill..

Even my current 266Mhz 2Gb ram manage to do fairly well
