I'm doing a bunch of scans (like, hundreds) and I need some sort of program that will crop out the blank part left from the scan, rotate it a particular direction, and then shrink it down to a particular size.

As always, any help is greatly appreciated (and karma'd )

If you're good with command line and can write batch file or ahk scripts, try nconvert

PS. I can help you write a script if you need

IrfanView has batch processing, but I'm not sure what that entails.

use photoshop. I don't have it in front of me, but you can bind a key to do exactly what you said. It's called new action or something, and is under the tools menu iirc. Just look for it, it's in one of the standard menus at the top.

Ie - bind it to crop, rotate, resize, save and close the image. Then open all the images in PS (select them and drag them into the program) and press the newly bound button as much as you need.

I'm pretty sure there is a way to apply actions to all open files, or even specify a group of files so he would only have to do it once and then he could leave it while everything processes.  Been a while since I've had to do something like this though.

or you could use Photoshops Image Processor, I forgot about that one...
