Greetings again, tech.
Urgent help...
My ASUS ENGTX260's fan seems to stop running when Windows XP logs on. I have some ASUS SmartDoctor which shows this, and I have inspected that it is indeed not working. The GPU temperature increases by 1 degree celcius pretty qucikly, and I was wondering if there was any way to force the fan to move?
Specs:
500 watt PSU
E6600 @ Stock 2.4Ghz
2GB RAM
1TB HDD
Mobo is GIGABYTE GA 965P-S3
Any help would be appreciated.
Edit:
Ive just used ASUS SmartDoctor to make the fan stay at a permanent 70% for now, however it tells me to replace the fan, even though the card is not even a month old. The RPM fluctuates at around 1300, however its as loud as fuck and isnt doing much.
Edit #2:
Unless the fan is set at a permanent 100%, it will say "VGA chipset fan isnt functioning well! Replacing with a new fan may be needed" So I have now it set at 100%, just to be safe. At 100% it stays at roughly 1600RPM.
Should I return it to the store and get a new one? They'd cover it because its a manufacturing fault, wouldnt they?
This card is giving me the shits.
