Does anybody connect to xbox live through their laptops or desktop computers? I bridged my connections together and no IP address or anything showed up under my support tab. Anyone know anything about connection bridging? I need some help.

Have you made an adhoc network under Advanced?

Uhhh no. I don't know anything about it. I just watched a youtube video about it, but it's not working for me =/.

Are they both ethernet or are you using a WiFi connection for one? My question was directed at making a wireless network without a router.

I'm using a wifi connection on this computer. I'm trying to use this computer for my xbox instead of running a 100 foot wire through my house to my modem.

Right, well then you'll need to make an Adhoc network.

Under Advanced on the left thar (the redish one) you get the option to create a network on the second tab, which leads you to this:

1. Name is just an identifier, anything will do.
2. The middle is entirely for security, it's good to have, but all that's using it is an XBox so its not essential.
3. Is the important bit, telling it to create the network and accept an inbound connection from the XBox.

What do I do after I do that?
