I can never race that good fast. Are you using automatic transmission? What about a controller? Are you using a Joystick?

I use a Logitech Extreme 3D pro

Would you suggest I use a keyboard? I'm not going to buy a huge steering wheel. My desk is small enough as it is. Besides, with a joystick you can slowly turn instead of the keyboard's 100% full turn when you hit the button. Even tapping it isn't accurate enough. I use the joystick forward and backward axis to control speed, and the center gun fire button for the hand break.

Not a bad idea actually albeit incredibly awkward.
