And if you want people joining a server, create a server using BF2 Standalone Server, it's in the start menu in your BF2 folder. Enjoy.

You're so over your head it's funny.
1) You probobly don't have the processing power to run a server, let alone a BF2 server.
2) You probobly don't have the bandwidth. We're talking mass mb/s of upload. Your down speed is hardly significant.
Have you ever ran a server/any experience with one/know how to set up BF2CC?

eh processing power is a minor quible - if you can PLAY bf2, then you can certainly host the server. But like Defiance stated, you most likely WONT have the necessary upload bandwidth to handle more then 4 players.
As far as experience goes ... well you gotta start somewhere, though getting a BF2 server up (under windows anyways) is stupidly simple - it's all point and click on the configuration.
Adding BF2CC takes some work, though it's totally worth it in the end when it's done.

no i dont wanna run a server i jusy want a server so i and some clan friends cal do stunts and practice

Wow...I'm glad everyone is so helpful??? Knowledge is a power, and if you have the ability to help someone have more fun and not abuse that then you have character and can be considered a good person/man/woman. If you have that ability and you treat people like a dick because you know how to accomplish something then you don't deserve the capabilities, you are probably overcompensating at this point because it is the only thing you do know and you feel picked on by the world because everyone else is better than you at everything.
If you were to come to post on this site how to rebuild a dirt bike engine, I would not mock you or make fun of you, I would help you walk through it so you could enjoy riding. I wouldn't tell you "oh you don't have the tools or the garage to do it anyways...and why are you riding a 250, I'm sure it's too much bike for you". Dicks, don't try to make scorps look like an asshole because he doesn't know how to run the server or have the info when he is just asking for help so he can have fun....holy shit i'm so pissed
Now that I am done ranting on the people that make this world an annoying place to live. I have the same question. My brother and I just want to practice flying so we don't have to do it on a server with a bunch of people. We live in seperate houses and would like to set it up to were we could do this on a local type server. How do I get him on my network so that we can do this. I know enough to get myself in trouble and that's about it...if someone can help me that would be great...LOL and if you have a dirt bike to rebuild, a gun to tear down and clean, a concrete slab to pour, or ribs to cook, and don't know how I'll return the favor hahahah! thanks to the good people out there with enough respect in themselves to help a fellow man!

for you to join the same local server from different houses your going to have to be on whats known as a virtual lan ( local area network )
basically the computers think they are right next to each other physically connected but in reality they can be accross the world.
unfortunantly you guys are prob in a bit over your heads with this one at this point in time, best bet is to do some googleing on it and see if its something you think you can set up, as for me or anyone to walk you through it here could turn it into a 600 page mega thread!
