I uninstalled BF2. THen it would not let me reinstall it. I tried a bunch of times, I restarted my computer, I defragmented, then I went to reinstall manually and the following poped up while on the second disk,(It never let me get past a certain part on the second disk also when reinstalling automatically)...It said something about the Data3.cab file....I don't even know what that means!!!!Please someone help so I may play again.
Ive also tried uninstalling manually from teh registry with no success. I am out of options and out of patience.

See if you can copy the files from the second CD onto your hard drive to see if it's a problem with the CD. If you can copy the CD onto the hard drive, look to see if there is a residual C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2 directory.

What exactly was the error message displayed.

Just a thin no nothing scratch. I dont think it would be causing this problem. At least I hope not. Because I really dont want to have to go buy the game again.

do a system restore to point before you uninstalled the game

Thanks for all the help. I tried the system restore but to no aveil. I will try to use my friends second disk on reinstalling it and if that doesnt work then I guess It's DoD and CS Source time.
