How can I get music off my iPod Touch?

I want to be able to put it on my new hard drive but as some people may know, Apple is too greedy to let people do this through iTunes.

So does anyone know of some free software that allows you to do it? The iPod Touch/iPhone don't appear as external drives like other iPods do so that's not an option unfortunately.

I tried a program that worked good but it only transferred 20 songs cause they want 40$ for it.

It wouldn't detect it. Maybe it doesn't work for the Touch or iPhone.

Touch and phone have some special encryption on the music, which is why i can't use any opensource apps to sync my ipod touch. Im forced to run itunes through vmware....

This seems to work very well. Only transfers 5 at a time but it selects songs easily and transfers FAST
