google chrome and google ad problems

I keep getting problems with sites using google ads, such as facebook, a ford forum, pistonheads.

basically the page loads but the connection to the server hosting the adverts on the page times out, and google chrome locks up and i have to restart it. This would be fine except the ad servers are permanently down and as such i cant use those sites for days on end. I hate IE and firefox is teh suck. help!

no need - i've had no problems with chrome and i find it better than ff.

@ op maybe just reinstall it?

EDIT: maybe check every option in the options menu - see if you can turn stuff off there :S - i'm not really sure lol

can you reach the sites of the ad hosts with the other browsers / ping? In either case, chrome shouldn't lock up when it can't reach a site. Time for a reinstall
