  • Nvidia dropping the prices of 65nm graphics cards... GTX 280 at first.

As some of u know... nVIDIA will replace the existing GTX 280 65nm cards with GTX 285 55nm with higher stock clocks. Also the GTX 280 will be replaced from the crown with GTX 295. Together these two events will drop the price of GTX 280 greatly. I would expect the GTX 260 Core 216 price getting adjusted after the GTX 260+ gets more polular.

GTX 280 is selling at 199.99£ atm. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productli … subid=1176

Knowing the release for the GTX 285/295 will be in Wednesday and price drops coming to take effect soon, I decided to wait for the GTX 285 and 295. yes the gtx 260+ is not coming.... (I want better )

One of them will be my gfx card of choise. Which one, we'll have to see the pre-order prices first...

This will do for my new build.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Sweet, I'm so buying one! They used to be way overpriced for what they are.

There is no law, people do it all the time.

Most of us euros could simply receive the card and use it without any or low additional taxes. In Iceland or the Åland Islands (where freezer lives) you get assfucked by taxes though

I has more processing power than that.

I assume it's supposed to be absurdly long, but I think my 8800GTX is longer

edit: maybe not...

It's amazing, really, how 256MB was considered a ridiculous amount back then.
