Looks pretty good PB did go through a spell of buying Sammy's old PVA panels though, you sure it's not one of those?

Maybe TN has moved on, no reviews I've read have said it has. I'll let you know what my 2233bw looks like when it gets here Tuesday
This screen was 500€ in a retail store (not online) this summer, somewhat doubt it's more than TN. Besides, their site says it's a TN.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

22 inch = baaad.
Eh?

But of course you do get the extra size with a 22" - the problem is, you don't get any extra resolution for that extra size and so the image looks more jagged.

This is the other way around.

Alright, alright. I'll spare ya'll details and just ask you this: Between these two ASUS LCD's, which one is a better choice money not a factor?

ASUS VH226H Full HD 1080p for $199.99 (On newegg)

ASUS VW223T 16:10

Also, is the first monitor capable of 16:10, or is it only 16:9? And what is implied by the term "Golden Ratio" (16:10) whats so great about it?

Would really like some tips, I checked out Best Buy and saw a whole bunch of Samsungs, etc. And the ASUS they had there looked really good up close. So, I'm gonna order hopefully tomorrow.

Both are good monitors. 16:9 is prefered for movies. is the ratio older movies used and because its the same size but is longer... it means movies that widescreen cut out less of your monitor. If you plan on watching lots of movies, especially Bluray movies. that monitor is for you. 16:10 ratio is more common for gaming etc and is more widely supported by games. although decent games let u run the game at ur monitors native resolution, regarless of what that is

Karma when available, thnx for the reply, I might reconsider my choice then, seeing as 16:10 is better for gaming like you say. I'm sure the 16:9 would be JUST fine for that, and i get the added 1080p HD support (For my PS3, Xbox360 and other kick ass tech that I dont have...yet) and which the other one DOESN'T have I assume.

Well the main advantage of the 16:9 is future proofing. it means down the track if u get blu ray or ps3, xbox360 etc u will have a Full HD monitor to use them with.

Personally, I would say buy an HD TV for movies and consoles and the monitor for gaming. Then if you really want, you can route the TV through the computer and get the computer to drive the TV for any content you play from your PC.

You can get quite a few comfortably sized HD TVs for the price of a really sweet monitor. Then instead of sitting in the office chair to enjoy Jenna Jameson in full HD and surround sound, you can sit on a couch and still be able to get into the missionary position should the situation require.
