Hi guys a friend of mine has an E7300, bought it earlier in the year as a bundle deal with a shitty MSI mobo, he wants to replace the MoBo for a better quality one & he has managed to save £120 for a new board, can you please recommend a Motherboard for him.

He only games & Internets on the PC, already has a 4850 gfx card, has 2 x 2gb ddr2 RAM sticks. DOES NOT WANT TO OVERCLOCK or F@H.

Thank you in advance, Karmaz all round for advice cheers.

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

Unless he has stability issues, a new motherboard won't do jack shit unless he wants to OC.

yeah, cheap Asus P45 will do. Still such a huge waste if there's no OCing to be done

You should explain overclocking to him. He probably thinks it's hard, dangerous and ruins parts really easily.

Hell, I used to. But my mind changed instantly when I started.

I don't get why people buy MSI in the first place

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
