FedEx ftw they brought my computer a day early.
Fuck that. My dad's in the medical business and ships out/recieves various OR tools such as scopes. UPS has lost him over $10,000 worth of equipment. Never again.Kmarion wrote:

FedEx all the way. Plus, they almost always deliver faster than UPS around here.
Regarding delivery companies, it matters on what the employees are like in the area. There is probably assholes in every company, just happens there's a large amount of lazy assholes in New York.
UPS has never lost anything of mine and they almost always deliver early. Not to mention I think they are either the same price as USPS or even cheaper.
That's very true and I forgot to say that. "My" UPS guy is very friendly, always waves, always patient for me to get to the door, is careful, etc.jord wrote:

Did he have the sense to insure it. You don't think Fedex damages or loses packages .Poseidon wrote:

UPS is a generation ahead of Fedex in the shipping business. They always have been. Trust me, I have a little experience here.

Trust him Poseidon. I should know, I'm a part-time interrogation officer and I know when people are telling the truth.Kmarion wrote:

Of course they do. Every company does, it's pretty much unavoidable. Thing is, with UPS it's almost constant. I've had waaay better experiences with FedEx, as has my father.Kmarion wrote:

It was insured, but just the fact that it was lost really just completely puts me off from UPS.

read: King of Queens, as in, he plays Doug Heffernan, a Delivery guy who drives a truck suprisingly similar to UPS'

Ya but I recognised him from Hitch and felt the need to announce that, as it rekindled my long lost memories of that great film/

You've had a small unfortunate experience (in relative scale). I worked at UPS (which means I also worked with FEdex employees) for 14 years. I was Unloader, Loader, Sorter, Supervisor, Driver. UPS has got the best loss prevention in the industry. The literally tail drivers when they have evidence of suspect behavior. Does stuff like the OP still happen? Of course, UPS one of the nations largest employers.. behind only walmart and the usps. It also ranks as one the the worlds most admired companies.Poseidon wrote:
