Looking at these 3 headsets, I've never bothered with one before and as such don't know which ones are decent.

Plantronics Gamecom 367
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu … Headset%20(79732-05)

Creative Fatal1ty
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu … Headset%20(51MZ0310AA001)

Sennheiser PC151
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu … amp;tool=3

I don't want to spend any more than £35 and these 3 looked like the best in that price range, I'm currently leaning towards the Sennheisers simply due to reputation tho.

I vote PC151.

Fatal1ty tends to be overpriced tbh... Sennheiser is an awesome brand for headphones afaik...

But do consider the size of the "earmufs", personally I can't wear headphones for more than 1-2 hours before my ears start to hurt...

The sennheisers seem to have a different type of earmufs than the other two, by which the sennheisers sit on your ears whereas the others sit around your ears giving better comfort....

Out of those 3 I would choose the fatal1ty, but then again, I really dislike headphones.. Speakers ftw...

Well i prefer speakers too, running Creative S750 7.1s at the moment, but that's no good for late playing and I do miss having a mic at times.

Oh and afaik the sennheisers are the same type as the other 2, sit around the ear, not on, it's just some odd looking material in that photo.

No you can definately tell by the size that the Sennheisers sit on your ear... otherwise that brace (the thing going over your head ) is far too big for the average human, which means it would probably fit my big bowl nicely ...

The Fatal1ty is pretty good for the price. I'd say it's the best of the bunch.

At least for gaming.

I'm beginning to swing that way, dug around for some better images of the Sennheisers and they do sit on your ears, so I'll be discounting those and well the Plantronics have been totally ignored so yeh I probably wont consider those either

If you know anything better feel free to link it, nothing retardedly priced tho £35-40 is all I will pay, they aren't going to be my main source of audio.

Take a look at the Icemat and Steelseries headphones... they are very similar to the Fatal1ty ones in both price and quality (though I do believe the Icemat is of better quality but can't tell for sure)... I do have a freind that says there is very little Bass in the Steelseries 5 v2

I got another freind who has the Icemat ones (most oftenly seen in white), he abselutely loves them and I tried them @ LAN and they were pretty darn good IIRC...

Also: Sorry for the lack of links but they should be easy to find as they are very popular and I have never used foreign e-shops and don't know which ones you use

Sorry mate the Icemats are now named Steelseries Siberia... I would choose between the Siberia, 5H, and the Fatal1ty tbh

Personally I think the look of the Siberia is abit too "bling" for me, but they should be far superior in Audio quality and overall build quality

The Fatal1ty are very "plastic-ish" IIRC (I work in a shop where we have all 3 in stock )

Take control.
Three customizable G-keys: One-touch command over music, voice morphing, and more.
On-ear audio controls: Quick access to volume, microphone mute, and surround sound adjustments.
Real-time voice morphing: Select from six voices–Troll, Mutant, Alien, Giant, Cyborg, and Space Squirrel.
Rotating mic boom with auto-mute: Microphone mutes automatically when rotated up and out of the way.
Microphone mute light: Glows red when mic is muted.
Cable management wrap: Don't need all 10 feet of cable? Wrap it up and keep it out of the way.
lel

But for some reason it's only USB, so idk if I would get it or not.

bit more than I was looking to pay but if the audio is better than the fatal1ty's then I'll get them, I prefer the look of them over the Fatal1ty by a long way.

I prefer the 5H out of all of them but it's a bit pricey.

Looks like the Siberias are winning at the moment.

Well I don't know personally, but a good tech mate of mine said (today) that his 5H v2 had very poor bass... don't know about the 7.1 version though...

I would order something and try it if I were you, if you don't like the sound quality just cancel the purchase if your laws cover that.... (here we can return any non-customized online purchase within 14 days of recieving said article..)

Was it the 5H v1 or v2 that had the poor bass? I'm looking at v2's, though they're £55 so i probably wont get them.

Hehe, I have too many changes to keep spamming AND avoid AWMs

ATTENTION: I just noticed that the Siberia doesn't appear to come with a mic. I don't know if you need one but you should know!

Personally I didn't think of it since I haven't used my mic. on my £15 headset for ½ a year...

But when it comes to feel and sound the Siberia is
nice long cable aswell IIRC...

The Icemat comes in two different flavors; one with a clip on mic and one with a boom mic.  I have the clip on mic and thought it'd suck.  I'm pleasantly surprised as I always have the clearest voice in Vent (even clearer than someone with that same Fatal1ty headset...).

i didn't know there was a red version.  it's not really my type of color though.  maybe a darker red.  i personally have the white one.
