I went snowboarding when I was about 10. It's a proper laugh, and quite easy to pick up.
I've been snowboarding,it's really, really fun imo, especially if you board with company and it's more attractive than skiing imho
Lots of fun, but takes awhile to get the hang of it (Im terrible at it, lol)
Its really fun, but not for the first couple of times. Be prepared to fall a lot the first day. The good news is that you can pick it up really easily. After about the third time you won't be falling down that much at all. You'll probably be really sore the morning after, too. It's a lot of fun though, especially once you get to the point where you can cruise down the whole mountain without falling.
Epic phail tbh.Gooners wrote:

"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
If its your first few times, expect to wake up the next day sore all over, especially in the wrists and ass. Reason being is that you will fall alot, either on your butt, or when you try to catch yourself when you fall forward.12/f/taiwan wrote:

It's very fun IMO, equipment and gear is pretty expensive (but there are sites all over that have excellent deals on equipment), but you can always rent. Gotta figure out whether you're regular or goofy, have someone push you while you're not expecting it; the leg you use to stop yourself is your rear foot I believe. Or the way that the guy in the shop determined when I rented the first time I went was, the leg you use to kick/push off when riding a skateboard is your rear foot.
Last time i snowboarded i did a 540 off a jump sucessfully landing on my head and hemmoraging my brain I had to get flown home. (I consider myself advanced also so im no nub, I hit ice)12/f/taiwan wrote:

Snowboarding is awesome stuff, really easy to pick up if you have even the slightest capacity for balance, lots of fun, and you don't look gay like the people who ski.

Anyone know how much pricing to board(w/ gear provided) for a few hours is?
Pussy! Snowboarders always sit in stupid little packs right under jumps or on in the middle of the trails... I'm sure its fun, but damn, I am so much sexier than any snowboarder can imagine.mikkel wrote:

Lift tickets for say , Mammoth,, are like 80 bucks and renting it probably like 50 for a full dya
BUT GET A HELMET
Fl = wake boarding. Snowboarding? ...ntsomuch
Xbone Stormsurgezz
I would suggest renting first few times because it's not worth buying if you find out you don't like boarding that much.Just rent boots and board, forget the helmet you won't need it unless you're stupid enough to try acrobatics too early.First you must find out whether you're regular or goofy(left foot on front side=regular;right foot front side=goofy).Learn to brake first, then try some test runs on "green"slopes and gradually go up the difficulty.12/f/taiwan wrote:
