This is true, my friend was learning to ski with me and he got demolished by a... snowboarder. His helmet got a good size crack in it, had he not been wearing his helmet I don't know what would have happened. I can pull 3's, learning 5's now off jumps. Ground tricks are the best to learn, riding tail presses, 180 into nose presses and spinning out. Makes you look reaaaaaaallllllyyyy cool too.

Skiing is becoming way more like snowboarding in the past couple of years. Call it copying or whatever, but I live for the park and back country, sticking to groomers or mogul runs gets incredibly boring these days.MorbiD.ShoT wrote:

I can do 3's pretty well with grabs, I can do 5's without a grab pretty well and I can do backflips and frontflips pretty well but I'm shit at rails and boxes. Skiing switch looks fucking awesome in my opinion.

Ya I've tried it and hated it. I've been skiing since I was 2 and hate the sensation of having my feet pinned down to a board. Twintipping is so much better and the tricks look better in slopestyle.

I don't get the rivalry and cool-competition between ski'ers and snowboarders: what, who can be the 'coolest' twat shimmying his way down a gentle slope whilst dressed in 1980's Liverpudlian neon-coloured shellsuits? The 'extreme' variants of both sports are basically exact clones of skateboarding/rollerblading or other concrete-based sports so I hardly rate that as high. It just seems like a really naff pursuit for the hideously bad-taste families that get bored of playing polo, rugby and croquet.
