Never seen this discussed before....
Must have been a hundred times I've tossed a grenade (i.e. heard the pin pop and SEEN the grenade fly) at the same moment I was killed. In MOST cases even though my grenade was shown flying through the air as I was killed, there is no explosion or resulting kills even when it most certainly should have landed in proximity to enemy soldier/s. Now occasionally, in the same exact same circumstances, I DO hear the explosion and/or get a kill as I am laying there in limbo.
I have no problem with the fact that in most cases I was likely killed before I let it fly but then if this is the case, why did the game bother to play the pin sound and draw a flying grenade when in fact it will never explode. Is this just an animation bug that is out of sync with the game?
I just do not understand how a thrown grenade simply disappears instantly upon my death and also why there seems to be little consistency in wether it actually explodes or not.
Any one else have any experience or opinions on this strangeness? It's really starting to drive me nuts.
