But the reason for this grinding and it´s abnormal success is what I was trying to get at. That´s what I´m worried bout. No standstill in society will be caused. Of course other developers try to jump on the train by cloning certain elements of successfull games, but that has always been the case.

Yeah, it's ridiculously nice when you're fighting mobs who run away when their health gets low. When I was leveling my warrior tank, I'd have to chase after them. Now I just attack something else and watch the XP roll in.

And I was thinking about going demonology. It actually looks pretty sweet.

affliction is good for leveling, but so is demo when you get the felguard. I tried many destruction builds but none of them where anygood.

I play WAR occasionally. It's fun, sometimes. I don't like the blobfests, and I don't like PvE. It also seems too hard to level up.

I'll probably stop the subscription soon, but for now it's holding my attention for a day or two a week.

I was a combat rogue for pve, which meant in pvp I couldn't own cloth wearers that easy. Long cooldowns and shit.

As far as I see it at a most reductionist level, gaming is sitting on yer arse alone staring a computer screen for hours on end.

If someone spends 2000 hours to get to a high-rank in BF2, they have far bigger 'issues' than someone that spent the 300 hours (max) it takes to attain level 80 in World of Warcraft. Period. I don't care what genre of game, what the setting or theme of the game is, nada. None of that ancillary information makes the activity inherently 'cool' or 'macho'. You're sat on a computer engaging with a virtual reality, simple as that. Denigrate MMO's and fantasy genres all you want (I don't particularly care to defend them) but don't think of yourself any better for whoring Karkand 4 hours a day for the last 3 years.

Really doesn't matter when you're levelling, I would choose affliction with life drain and siphon life, and then spec the rest into demo, so that you can just continually grind, and then life tap and regain all the health back through your drains with your pet tanking a couple. Easy. I miss my addiction to wow, but at the same time I don't.
