I get free copys of most operating systems all legal and i was wondering if anyone else here has this operating system and whether or not they can tell me if this would be a good choice or a bad choice to install on my home PC?

Regarding your original question, personally I would stick with XP or get an illegal key for Ultimate (or get W7 Beta) as the media functions in Vista Business are limited compared to Ultimate/Home Premium. However if you don't really mind losing the media features, or wouldn't use them anyway, go for it
