Whitelist website filtering software

Hey, i was wondering if you knew of any web filtering software (for windows, to be installed on a single computer - not a server) that would let me use a whitelist to filter out all websites except specific ones.

Google turned up next to nothing

Do you mean a blacklist? There's a Firefox extension that does it.

EDIT: Nevermind, read that again and it made sense. In which case I have no suggestions.

Nope, i mean a whitelist:

A whitelist is a list of accepted items or persons in a set. This list is inclusionary, confirming that the item being analyzed is acceptable. It is the opposite of a blacklist which confirms that items are not acceptable. These type of list are most commonly in computing where they contrast blacklists, which confirm items that are not acceptable.

I want to restrict access to solely a few specific websites, as opposed to a blacklist where I would say you can't access http://porn.com http://games.com etc

A lot of anti virus's (Kaspersky Internet Security Suite for one), allow you to do such things.

If he isn't technical, you could possibly do some ninjaing with the hosts file to achieve it as well.

I did think of that, is there a way to, say, map everything to 127.0.0.1 except the 5 or so sites i want?

If he just uses IE and isn't very tech savvy, you can whitelist sites in the IE Internet Settings menu, and set the security level to only allow visits to whitelisted sites.

If you're going to let him onto google, but not let him follow any of the links, make sure that you block google image search. Cached porn in low resolution is still porn. :>
