I'm looking at the 260 right now mostly. Specifically, this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6814143156
The monitors I have are only 1280x1024 and I won't likely be upgrading those for a bit.
Also, I'm kind of an nvidia fanboi.
Then the 260 will last you a long while to come.chuyskywalker wrote:

Mm, missed that XFX one. Faster and comes with a game I already have!
If you're going to spend that much, just get this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6814143141
I know I sound like a rambling fanboi, but srsly EVGA cannot be beat.

Nope. Looked at the 280 vs. 260 performance charts for all the 1280x1024 tests and the difference weren't worth the extra cash.
At that resolution, your CPU has a lot to do with performance. It will be a huge bottleneck no matter what card you get. However, if you ever upgrade your monitors then you will find the GTX280 to handle higher resolutions a lot better than the 260. Plus, the price gap is very small. Worth it IMO.
4850 is still a batshitcrazygood card for its price.

They both have life time warranty's, and they're both gamer companies. BFG is very good, as is eVGA. I see no reason not to buy the BFG.The_Sniper_NM wrote:

Plus, they give you awesome stickers. When my dad got his BFG 8800GTX, they gave him a bunch of little stickers and one said, "OMFGWTFBFGSAUCE"
How is that?
