If you´re on a uni network, chances are you won´t be able to bypass it, cause you can´t get into the router config menu.
But you might be able to work something out with the tech team maintaining the uni network. Most of them are students too and if you ask poilitly, they might unlock the needed ports.

Otherwise your unlucky i guess.

yeah i was like when he told me they only have three ports open. my uni has everything open EXCEPT the well-known ports for things like file-sharing and RPC. but at least there are ways around it if the need arises...

yeah i was like when he told me they only have three ports open. my uni has everything open EXCEPT the well-known ports for things like file-sharing and RPC. but at least there are ways around it if the need arises...

Good thing my uni even has those ports open. They just seem to close after a certain time of usage. But with changing the last number in portconfig in vuze, the fun starts all over again. Yeah Uni!
