As weed is legal in some countries and many US states (and as its status is being reviewed in several countries), I'd say a discussion about the pros and cons is OK. This does NOT mean that it should be encouraged by anyone to start smoking it, as no one should be encouraged to start drinking or smoking (tobacco) either.
I'm of this opinion, regardless of my stance on the matter, and regardless whether I smoked it or not. Would I see a "how do u take heroin"-thread, I'd make damn sure to a) delete said thread (due to many trolls here among other reasons, the other reason being so obvious that I don't even have to mention it) and b) PM the OP personally about the content he/she just posted.
As you might have noticed, I get filled with disgust if someone mentions heroin even semi-jokingly.
