They should be compatible, however, your motherboard isn't exactly a super performer.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
When you get it please tell us how it preforms I kind of curious on how it stacks up against a C2Q
Basically it would be the same as AM2+ minus the 1800MHz bus and DDR2 1066 support. The bus would be 1000MHz and DDR800 support.

It will only work if there is a BIOS update available to support them.
*sigh* Alright. I just got my new processor today. My brother removed the old processor put the new one in and........ my computer won't boot up. It has power but it just sits there blinking. So my brother removed the new one put the old one back in and it boots up just fine. Any suggestions?
