Building a computer involves stick like 5 parts together that will only fit one way. If thats not easy enough for you parts typically come with pictures and instructions.
So I would do that.
So I would do that.
LOL dident look @ the date. but still look on the alien ware site they want $1030 for a GTX 280 you can get it for what like 300-400 bucks
There's a bit more to it than that (parts compatibilities and issues pending hotfixes), but otherwise yeah.VicktorVauhn wrote:

MSI, Sager, Digital Storm, HP. I like my 18.4"ers, but i'd recommend 17" or smaller. 15" is a sweet spot for versatility.Wallpaper wrote:
Netbook and gaming desktop... Good god dont go for a gaming laptop for college. Theyre heavy and a bitch to take around after a while, usually unspectacular battery life, and mostly impossible to upgrade. Also bigJoshP wrote:
Sorta relavent to this- where would you buy a good quality gaming laptop from, if you were to buy one?
Dell don't seem to have particularly good GFX in theirs, but alienware's are... meh
(i'm going to need one for uni next year, i'm still not sure whether to get a netbook + gaming desktop or just an awsm laptop)

If I had 5,000 to spend, I wouldnt buy an alienware, id build my own
then id just send

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
But that takes workFreezer7Pro wrote:

and rich people dont need to do shit
fine, revision...
I would give you all the money you needed, and then you would build two computers, ONE for you, and ONE for me
and I would have an Alienware backup... and then BF2s would all get Alienwares
Thing is, the hardware in Alienwares is so sub-par it's ridiculous.GodFather wrote:

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
Does that mean your buying us all new computers?max wrote:

you are an idiot if you buy an alienware computer man
seriously
build your own or if you do not know how to build your own you
just buy all the parts and bring it to your local puter shop and have them assemble it for you.
you will get 1000 times more for your money

As for Alienwares, heh, I remember fantasizing about getting on, and then I discovered Newegg.
Glad I never wasted time saving for one, pay $7000 for an Overclocked Dell, proprietary parts, and insults from every direction on the Internet. Sounds like a fantastic deal. The only thing they get from me is that they're making money selling decent technology to stupid consumers with prices they pull out of their ass. I have to hand it to them, they sure know how to woe over the average consumer; "Alienware takes care of everything for you, we'll even send you a special AlienWank bag (Double layered, limited edition, it glows in seven different colors, and is only an extra $200) so you can jizz in it when your overpriced PC arrives, you won't make a mess of it!"
Thought this was amusing:
