I did stop watching Formula One when Hakkinen stopped because from then it was all boring.
But it's just they are making to many changes.
What do we want to see? some boring looking cars racing or some incredibly/crazy looking cars going at 10000000000km/h?
They are making everything greener etc, why? its a fucking formula one car, its supposed to be fast, its supposed to be damaging to the environment because we want to see super fast cars racing each other. I loved the 2007-2008 cars because you look at it and go "WOOOOAHHHH!!!!!!", they are mental.
Now they go for that boring look and that ugly tall back spoiler. It's horribly gone wrong.
You look at the 2009 car and go "ohh...ok". But when you look at the 2008 car and your penis gets erected.

look at that !!!!

If you read that F1Technical forum, apparently there's abit of a buzz over that there them safety mirrors. Looks like the F team have really taken advantage of that, and managed to sneak in the mirror "supports" as some sort of deflector/appendage for the side which is like what they had last year and is supposedly outlawed this year, but because it's part of an integral safety feature (the mirrors), it's all legit

From the forum:

You should give the f1technical forum a read, it's a good website/forum for those interested in the nerd shit that goes into F1. - Some of the folks there are hardcore

Give this article a read to see what I was on about:

How are the changes expected to affect lap times? I assume for the worse, but by a lot or not much?

I think they go slower, given BMW's Interim car's best times were about 2-3 seconds slower than the Toro Rosso's during winter testing in Spain, but thats where the KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) comes in. It provides a neat boost for the cars which could increase their speed on straights.

I could be entirely wrong about the BMW's times
