This could be the solution to my connection problems, and it doesn't look overly complicated compared to porttunnel

i have ports 80, 443 and possibly 21 at my disposal.

So what does it do?
Small hourglass island

It connects to another PC and virtually adds it to the local network, not really useful for bypassing firewalls. Personally I'd try to set up a VPN or ssh connection to your home PC and use that
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

that it does.  Hamachi is a wonder for what it's meant for.
