subject kinda says it all, I've got Norton Antivirus 2005 installed, and before installing patch 1.21, could play for days w/o a problem, now when I try to get a server list, it gives me a message saying something about incomming trafic, so knowing it's a game I want to play, I click "permit" and then go back to BF2, and it happens again, and again, and again.... like 6-8 times, when I look into NAV's settings, it says that BF2.exe is the ONLY application that it will allow these connections for, (meaning this shouldn't happen right?) but every time I try to refresh the server list, I get this.....

Any ideas????

thanks in advance.

I'd show you all the part where NAV says "permit all" but I just found out BF2S doesn't allow image uploads.....

There should be an option like “always allow this program to access the internet” under the "permit all" option on the drop down menu?

the window says this:

Program...............................Internet Access

BF2......................................Permit All

and permit all has a little dropdown arrow that if I click on it, it says "permit all" "block all" and "custom" if I go to custom, for actions it says "permit" computers says "any computer" for ports it says "All types of communication (all ports local and remote)" for tracking, it has a log ability, but it's off, and for description it just says "BF2"

the only way I can shutdown NAV is to go into safemode or uninstall it, and I wouldn't be able to play BF2 in safemode, and removing NAV is out of the question

Figured it out, I removed BF2 from the list, then when it came up saying "what should I do" I told it to block all, and now I'm having no problems...... I don't need to be accepting incoming connections, so it isn't a problem that I won't be able to host a server....

Mods, you can lock this one up if you like....

Thanks

Permitting all incoming and outgoing to BF2 will do the trick as well. I did this after 1.21 and it worked fine. I, like you, had the same problem with NAV, and it shit me to death for a day, but I got that fixed promptly.
