Damn it, I think it is a scam now, read her most recent email (original post updated).

It would've been a kickass deal.

First, is there a way to check a fraudulent website without actually visiting it?

Second, I'm all ears, what should I reply back? I don't want to scare this scammer away just yet by becoming hostile, I want to make him/her think that I'm still genuinely interested, but at the same time give her the same bull and cock story she gave me.

OK well he/she/it/they has/have stopped responding to my emails, so I guess this case is closed.

In other news, does anyone know if a 1999 Land Rover Freelander (soft top) is a good car? I'm getting it from a dealer this time so I can see the thing.

No, it's not.

The freelander had a very loose chassis anyway, i doubt cutting the roof off made that any better!

Spare parts and servicing will be expensive if you get a Land Rover mate.

OK, so I decided to blow the lid on this one:

Hi Diane, your lack of reply is just further evidence of one important and inescapable fact: you are a scam artist. As a result I will pass on your details and all the evidence I have collected onto the relevant authorities. I'm sorry this did not work out, however apparently the blame only rests with you. My advice to you is this: find something better to do with your life.

Peace out.

p.s. let's play a game, go back over the emails and try and pinpoint the exact moment which you think I found out about your shady dealings? Trust me, it'll be fun.
So I guess this is the end.
