Electric Sheep is a free, open source screen saver created by Scott Draves. It's run by thousands of people all over the world, and can be installed on any ordinary PC or Mac. When these computers "sleep", the screen saver comes on and the computers communicate with each other by the internet to share the work of creating morphing abstract animations known as "sheep". The result is a collective "android dream", an homage to Philip K. Dick's novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?

Dude, you cannot judge the screen saver by one of the three pics I posted! In reality, they change automatically and there are 100's and 100's of different ones, and they're all 3D and animated

Dunno if it's a windows 7 thing, but you can make Avast run a virus scan whilst the screensaver is on, pretty awesome.

I'll just stick to LSD, thank you.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

They look kinda cool, I'll give it a shot.

Right now I'm really loving my simple "MotionPicture" screensaver. (Just download a bunch of epic-looking pics of landscapes, etc. and then let MP do the rest)

Vista has a screensaver like that? Sweet, I gotta try it out once I finally get around to reinstalling Vista
(Do they let use customize it a lot, though? Like transition times, zoom limits/speeds, etc.)

Can't remember off the top of my head exactly how customisable it is, but there are certainly options. (I'm on my desktop at the moment, which is running XP.)
