Help me out here guys: I need a printer and scanner all-in-one. It needs to be preferably a name-brand that I can find internationally, either in Germany or elsewhere in Europe.

www.alternate.at is the site I will probably end up ordering it from. The cheaper the better, but QUALITY and RELIABILITY is an absolute must because this is for a few friends and needs to last a while. USB connection is a requirement, so no old-style serial connections, please.

So ...

I bought a Cannon MP140 a while back for 40ish €. It scans and prints and copies with a USB connection. I havent tried printing colour high definition photographs on photo-paper or stuff like that, but for college stuff is more that enough. Ive printed hundreds of pages of slides and books and presentations etc. so far and it hasnt failed me yet.

I couldnt find the same one but there is a Canon MP190 available for less than 50€. Im guesing its better than MP140

The cheapest shop on the list (Goldadler) is a great shop that I used often. Its located in the TU (Technisches Univeristät) building so its a real geek shop

Edit: In case you dont know, TU is on Karlsplatz... so its close wherever you live.

Inkjet or laser?
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

Thanks for the recommendation, Zeidmann!

Max, either/or. I assume inkjet would be cheaper, but if you know of a really good laser ...
