I noticed this in my owners manual:
https://img156.imageshack.us/img156/53/48496962te4.jpg

Does this mean I'm unable to use 4 (2x 2) GB RAM? Am I limited to two 1 GBs?

Or does "4 connectors" and "4 max" mean I could use 4 1GBs?
..and if so...would I need to buy two sets of 2x1?
Because I've never seen a set of 4x1..

Few years at least, I think.

It sounds like the manual predates ram over 1gb. This isn't to say you cant use it though. Do you have the mobo model?

I'm pretty sure it's limited to only 1GB per stick.

Oh shiz. Dell pre 06 was very specific with their components. You will probably need to call them. .. or check their forums.
